The Tony Iommi Monkey Special by Xerjoff Blends is what rock 'n' roll in the late '60s was for Iommi.

Xerjoff pays homage to Tony’s Italian roots with tantalising top notes of bergamot from Reggio Calabria, rum, Bulgarian Geranium and passion fruit, opening to cinnamon, Bulgarian rose and patchouli at the heart. Australian sandalwood, ambergris, vanilla, Tonka bean, caramel and musk are at the base, rounding off this olfactory journey in a luxuriously sleek and gothic bottle, available online and in selected retails.

    I picked up Xerjoff Tony Iommi Monkey Special a few weeks ago, and it immediately struck me as something different from the usual niche releases. The opening hits with a warm rum and juicy passion fruit that feels both rich and playful, and as it dries down, the mix of patchouli, cinnamon, caramel, and leather creates a dark, boozy sweetness that feels luxurious and a little rebellious. Longevity is excellent (easily 8–10 hours on my skin), and while it’s definitely a bold statement scent that won’t suit every mood, it’s one I’m glad to have in my collection for nights out or colder evenings when I want to stand out.

    Sweet and powerful. I think it leans more masculine but I love it. Very rich and sexy.
